“Thanks to the support of our customers around the world, we have further optimised the successful GR Supra GT4 in many detailed areas. We can look back on an extremely successful first year for our EVO2. Congratulations to all the title winners and a big thank you to all the teams for their outstanding commitment throughout the season,” said Kazuki Nakajima, three-time winner of the 24 Hours of Le Mans and Vice Chairman of TOYOTA GAZOO Racing Europe GmbH. “The GR Supra GT4 EVO2 has proven to be the ideal car for starting out in GT racing. In recent years, several GR Supra GT4 drivers have already made the transition to higher classes. We will be increasing our support for young talent in the coming years to enable them to make the step into professional motorsport.”

The GR Supra GT4 EVO2 started the season with a double victory in the United States at the beginning of the year. At the opening round of the IMSA VP Racing SportsCar Challenge in Daytona, the improved EVO2 won both races in the GSX class. It was the beginning of an extraordinary success story, with a final tally of 12 victories from 12 races for the TOYOTA GAZOO Racing Customer Racing teams. The 22-year-old Kiko Porto, from RAFA Racing, played a key role, confidently claiming the GSX Drivers' Championship with nine wins. His colleague Ian Porter contributed another victory and secured the GSX bronze championship. Steven Clemons from BSI Racing took a further two victories. RAFA Racing came out on top in the team standings, while the manufacturers’ title also went to TOYOTA.

At the same time, RAFA Racing competed in the IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge and finished third in the Bronze driver standings. In addition, two other GR Supra GT4 teams, Copeland Motorsports and Panam Motorsport, enjoyed podium positions in the overall standings. In Pirelli GT4 America, RAFA drivers Anthony Geraci and Kenny Schmied missed out on the AM class title by just one point. In GT America, JTR Motorsports Engineering's Anthony McIntosh had an outstanding season winning a total of four races.

GR Supra GT4 customers also made headlines in the United States outside of the major GT4 series. For example, the all-female AE Victory Racing team celebrated its first victory in the GTO class at the Utah Motorsports Campus – a milestone for drivers Ashley Freiberg, Sarah Montgomery and Alana Carter.

Successful European debut on the Nürburgring Nordschleife

The GR Supra GT4 EVO2 made a big impression in its first appearance in Europe in March. In the Nürburgring Endurance Series (NLS), Toyo Tyres with Ring Racing achieved an impressive third place in the SP10-AM class at the season opener. Takayuki Kinoshita and Michael Tischner won the class title at the end of the season. Meanwhile, three GR Supra GT4 EVO2s successfully completed the 24-hour race on the legendary Nürburgring Nordschleife this year.

Speedy Motorsport celebrated another triple triumph in southern Europe. Pedro Salvador's team defended its team titles in all three series of the SuperCars Endurance motorsport format. As well as the Portuguese GT4 championship Campeonato de Portugal de Velocidade (CPV), the platform also includes Iberian SuperCars and SuperCars España. Speedy Motorsport driver César Machado rounded off an exceptional year as the overall Portuguese GT winner, while also winning the GT4 Pro drivers' title in the CPV series and Iberian SuperCars. The Gianfranco Motorsport duo of Nuno Afonso and Alexandre Areia were champions of the Iberian Supercars in the Pro Bronze class. TOYOTA GAZOO Racing Caetano Portugal also shone with outstanding results, finishing the season with five class victories.

There was also celebration in the GT4 European Series as Spaniard Jan Duran secured the Rookie of the Year title after three victories late in the season. At the same time, the 18-year-old and his Matmut Évolution teammate Hadrien David, who is three years older, finished runners-up in the Silver class. At the finale in Barcelona, the Spanish-French duo scored important points with two victories, consolidating TOYOTA's third place in the global GT4 manufacturers’ standings. In the AM class, the father-son duo Mikael and Christoffer Brunnhagen took third place in the drivers’ standings, as did TOYOTA GAZOO Racing Sweden in the team classification.

Speedy Motorsport competed in the GT4 European Series for the first time with two GR Supra GT4 EVO2s at the final round at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya, having mainly enjoyed success in national series in southern Europe. With the support of TOYOTA GAZOO Racing Europe, the #26 car was shared by two young drivers, 16-year-old American Hudson Schwartz and 21-year-old Spaniard Javier Sagrera, who earned a top-10 finish on their debut. The sister car was driven by the experienced Pro-Am duo Tomás Guedes and José Carlos Pires, who finished fourth in the first race.

There was also a first in Germany when Team Teichmann Racing, based in the Eifel region, competed in ADAC GT4 Germany for the first time. During their guest appearance at the Nürburgring, in cooperation with TOYOTA GAZOO Racing Europe, the focus was on a 17-year-old young talent. Maximilian Schleimer, a former ADAC Sports Foundation-supported driver, made his GT4 debut alongside veteran Roland Froese and showed his potential in both races.

The new Circuit Toys customer team celebrated its first victory in the AM category of the French FFSA GT4 Championship at the final race at Circuit Paul Ricard. Elsewhere in France, W-Autosport again fielded two GR Supra GT4s in the French Trophée Tourisme Endurance (TTE) series.

Further title success in Asia

The GR Supra GT4 EVO2 was also in the spotlight as a winner in Japan. In the Super Taikyu series, Saitama Green Brave continued its winning streak, securing a third consecutive title in the ST-Z class.

Haridarma Manoppo and Seita Nonaka dominated almost every race weekend in the SRO Japan Cup. With seven wins and one second in eight races, the Indonesian-Japanese duo clinched both the GT4 overall title and the Silver AM class crown. Thanks to these results, TOYOTA GAZOO Racing Indonesia won the team classification convincingly. Betty Chen and Yoshichika Nagai from K-Tunes Racing rounded off the strong results with the AM drivers' title.

The Thailand Super Series also saw a triumph, with Wing Hin Motorsports winning the title. At the final race at the Chang International Circuit, Naquib Azlan and Mitchell Cheah secured the GT4 drivers' championship with a victory.

In the maiden season of the SRO GT Cup in China, three GR Supra GT4s lined up on the starting grid. Han Lichao of TOYOTA GAZOO Racing China took overall victory and the Silver Class title ahead of the season finale on the spectacular Macau street circuit. In Macau, Han Lichao continued his strong run with a second place to earn the team championship for TOYOTA GAZOO Racing China.

The 2025/2026 GT4 season kicks off in New Zealand

At the beginning of November, five GR Supra GT4 EVO2s were on track at Hampton Downs, New Zealand, for the joint Monochrome GT4 Australia and Summerset GT New Zealand Championship event. While the Australian teams GWR Racing and Keltic Racing were taking part in the final round of their Monochrome GT4 Australia season, RaceLab NZ and JMG Racing were collecting their first points of a new campaign. The Summerset GT New Zealand Championship comprises a total of five events. The second round takes place in January 2026 at Teretonga Park.

Young driver development in the future

Kazuki Nakajima looks ambitiously towards promoting young talent in the future: “The success we have seen this year for the GR Supra GT4 EVO2 is without doubt thanks to the experience and skill of customer teams and their drivers. But it also shows the importance of creating a strategy for teams and drivers to develop, via different categories to potentially reach the highest levels of international racing. This is an important aspect of how a manufacturer like TOYOTA can contribute to promoting new talent in a sustainable way - as well as providing competitive vehicles, we should also offer opportunities for drivers and teams to grow. To create a successful future for motorsport, manufacturers need to create these possibilities for ambitious athletes and committed customer teams within a dynamic motorsport culture.”
